Picking the perfect Location

In most cases, odds are you already know when you want to go on your anniversary; the only thing missing is where. The location is essential for sure. Are you going to spend most of your time inside or outside, active or lounging, room service, budget friendly or lavish? Just because you want to visit a specific place doesn’t make it a perfect place to spend your anniversary. Think couples time and think about what you both like to do the most, or even what provokes the best discussions and memories.

Focus on locations significant to both of you, for example, where you spent your honeymoon. Perhaps a location where you had the best sex or romantic encounter. The location might have some significance, like where your proposal happened or something you both saw together for the first time. Alternatively, you may consider looking into a few couples-only resorts if you are seeking alone time.

Decide on Your Activities

It’s natural if you feel like you want to spend your anniversary locked up in a room reconnecting; eventually, you might get bored. Pre-plan some unique activities you and your partner have always wanted to do together. Depending on what you like to do, here are some ideas for activities you could take on:
•    A weekend away in a cabin with a fireplace and views of the stars.

•    Spending a day at an amusement park or waterpark

Choosing the right lodging

Your lodging should meet the overall theme of your anniversary. For instance, Luxury hotels are ideal for anniversary trips. They have the best service, luxury, and atmosphere. You can usually be assured of that perfect breakfast in bed the next morning, for example. Or a spa visit might be important to you. Sometimes, you just want a decent bed for after the day’s activities. In addition, the following considerations can assist you in selecting the ideal hotel:

Restaurants

Eating out to celebrate is expected, so if you want your meals to be unique, find a venue with entertainment. This can make the dining more memorable by involving more than just flavor. In addition, depending on your destination, you may be able to find some special anniversary packages. Of course you can’t go wrong with Las Vegas romantic restaurants, in fact you could spend a month and not eat at the same place twice there. Be sure to consider what you’re looking for in that restaurant choice. Is that the main idea of the evening? Wine with that dinner? Don’t fill up on a heavy meal and then expect acrobatics in the bedroom. Or worse, don’t drink that second bottle of wine if sex is the final agenda – you don’t want to be disappointed when you’re spending money and premium time. Plan ahead and know your expectations, you don’t want to deal with disappointment on such an important occasion.

Hire a Tour Guide or Travel Agency

On your trip, see everything. Hire a guide for a tailored trip. The guide has to be someone who is an expert in your particular field of interest, such as history or cuisine. This is how you find unique attractions. Tour travel agencies can be companies that offer your type of travel. These can be adventure trips or sexy trips, any of which may offer a different experience for you and your partner.

One of our favorites of late comes out of Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Called Love Cloud, they offer the opportunity to join the mile high club in a legal and private solution. Flights last about an hour and come with bedding for your experience. We are also fans of the Bliss Cruise group, they offer lifestyle type cruises with on board playrooms for couples. Also join some Facebook travel groups or even a couples site like SDC, which will list adult only businesses to help you plan. A bespoke tour guide or group will include your desired sights. They can take you off the beaten path where larger groups can’t. This enhances your trip.
