You really can’t go wrong with flowers. Every girl’s best friend for sure. And if you further lean on the safe side, then roses are your best friend. There is the obvious 1-800-Flowers where you can get overnight delivery. A company out of California called Bouqs, which you may have seen highlights on Shark Tank a few years ago; they often have a code for a percentage of savings (try DATENIGHT). Or our personal favorite at the moment is The Million Roses. (Use code: FREESHIP.) You’ve probably seen their ads on the internet. Their specialty is roses in a box in lots of various shapes. If you’re feeling extravagant, then try the gold roses in the crystal box – limited edition. Flowers will always pull at her heartstrings.

Perfume and cologne are simple and sweet presents to gift your valentine. You can go for their signature scent or encourage them to opt for something new. This is a great idea for man or woman. Without the proper lead up time, hotels can get expensive on Valentine’s Day. We don’t mind celebrating the weekend before or after, but if you must make it on the day itself then just pre-plan to get a good rate. Of course this is a fine day for you to splurge. Valentine’s Day can be a fun “holiday” for you both, it doesn’t have to be a chore or an obligation. Try to come at it from an angle to celebrate being together, whether that’s one week or one year.
