How to Take a Good full Body selfie
We live in a day and age where selfies allow us to leverage the power of social media to provide us with a fine way of realizing our self-recognition.
Whether you intend on taking that selfie to get attention or boost your self-confidence, you first need to get the selfie right. Yes, you heard me right, you can actually get a selfie wrong. 🙂 Don’t make avoidable mistakes. Take a good full-body selfie of yourself you can be proud of and proud to post.
On social media, self-portraits abound, from celebrities to the kid next door, everyone seems to be constantly posting stunning selfies on their social media accounts. Don’t worry, these guidelines will help you take better selfies. This isn’t just about pressing buttons; it’s about a lot more.
Play to Your Angles For The Ideal Position
For you to focus on your whole body and take a selfie that captures you in full, correctly, you need to play to your angles. Changing the angle at which you are holding the phone significantly increases your camera’s field of view. It would probably not be a good idea to hold the phone directly in front of you and look straight into the camera, or even worse, below your chin, because now you’ll look ridiculous. Instead, try holding your phone up and pointing the camera down towards your face. Or better yet, to create a much more pleasurable photo, try keeping your chin down and adjusting your body as you take the photos with the camera above you.
Avoiding cliches, direct shots, and upshots will be critical. We’ll need to focus on our best side. Every person has a favorite part of their face that they are most proud of. A few people in the world are ambi-facial, meaning they have two good sides to their faces. Because of a blemish, bump, mole, or scar, you may prefer one side over the other. Any reason, be aware of your preference for the left or the right side of one’s face. Face a mirror and turn your head to the left if you’re unsure. Watch your reflection as you slowly turn it to the right. This is your angle and favorable side when you finally arrive at it.
Using A Mirror Or A Selfie Stick
Some people take full-body selfies in front of a mirror to show off their bodies. It allows them to stand at a distance from the camera, allowing the camera to capture their entire body, from head to toe, from start to finish.
Others use a selfie stick to take full-body selfies. They can take a selfie from a greater distance by using a selfie stick.
Self-portrait sticks can also be Bluetooth-connected to your phone. It’s quick and easy to use, and it eliminates the need to keep plugging into your phone. My preferred selfie stick is one with Bluetooth capabilities.
Proper Lighting is Everything
When taking a selfie with your phone, one of the most important aspects you need to consider for you to get a great selfie is proper lighting. With good natural lighting, under-eye circles and shadows can totally disappear. You need to avoid shadows by all means when taking a selfie, and if this is impossible, like cases where you are taking a selfie inside the house, use a ring light to provide you with the light you need. A ring light makes the light appear to be coming from all directions to eliminate all the shadows, distracting reflections, and harsh lines for a high-quality selfie.
Mind Your Background
You’ll notice how the best selfies usually have either very interesting or extremely simple backgrounds. The background you pick will affect how good or bad your selfie will look. Also, don’t forget to watch out for photobombers! A great idea for a background would be the gym or your personal training area for a workout selfie. Remember to check your lighting and play to your angles correctly and you’ll get yourself an amazing workout photo.
